Once again, we're continuing our much-loved tradition on the porch at Cedar House. This is a fun opportunity to hear stories read aloud -- something we all enjoyed as kids, but you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it. Come listen to part three of "The Princess and Curdie," an old and wonderful tale by George MacDonald - first published in 1883. We'll have two reading sessions with a short break in the middle. MacDonald's stories are known for being highly imaginative and full of deep, yet accessible teaching. As a writer, he was a true innovator, whose works influenced Lewis Carroll, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Williams. (The photo here was actually taken by Lewis Carroll in the 1860's.)
