Did you enjoy hearing stories read to you when you were a kid? Well, you don't have to be a kid. Come join us on the porch at Cedar House, where Dave will read part three from an amazing story by George MacDonald. First published in 1875 - "The Wise Woman" also known as "The Lost Princess" also known as "A Double Story." We'll have two reading sessions with a short break in the middle. MacDonald's stories are known for being highly imaginative and full of deep, yet accessible teaching. As a writer, he was a true innovator, whose works influenced Lewis Carroll, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Williams. (The photo of MacDonald here was actually taken by Lewis Carroll in the 1860's.)
